Lego educational programing robots (to learn robotics and coding)

If you are looking for an educational robot for your child to practice robotics with Lego, there are three Lego sets: Mindstorms Robot Inventor, Lego Spike Prime and Lego Spike Essential.

Yes, they look like robots but their functionality and use goes much further. They are designed to learn robotics and programming (among other things because they are very powerful proposals).

Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor (best lego robotics set 10+)

Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor is the best-selling LEGO set. This robotics building kit has been used in most High Schools (even at college) and Robotics courses for kids. Mindstorms has been completely updated some months ago! Now, you can code with Scratch or Python!

Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor is an educational STEAM robot toy that makes engineering fun for everyone who builds it. Currently, the best Lego robot from 10-12 years old.

Lego Spike Prime (best STEAM programming Lego set)

Build, code and play. Lego Spike Prime is a wonderful set for children. Kids can design and build fun robots, dynamic devices and other interactive models.

We love Lego SPIKE Prime for homeschool or just fun. This set combine colourful Lego building elements and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch.

Lego Spike Prime challenges your kids with a coding progression from simple icon blocks to text-based programming using recognized coding languages (Scratch and Python).

The box says 10+ but we think children interested in robotics can use it from 8 years old.

What is the difference between Lego Spike Prime and Lego Spike Essential?

Both sets are from Lego Educative. The difference is the age group to which they are directed. Lego Spike Essential is for Primary (6 to 10-12 years) and Lego Spike Prime is for Secundary kids.

Both sets are based on the Lego Learning System of building, programming, engineering and researching with the most varied projects, based in Units and Classroom Lessons.
